Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney were close friends during Meghan's time as an actress and early in her life as a royal.

They reportedly began their friendship in 2011 while Meghan was filming 'Suits' in Toronto. At first, Jessica had a higher profile than Meghan, so, according to Katie Nicholl, she "looked up to" Jessica.
In the book 'Finding Freedom', Meghan is said to have consulted Jessica on what to wear when she met the Queen. According to the Daily Mail, Jessica was one of the first people Meghan called to announce her marriage to Harry.
